I love everything there is to love about cooking. The fresh ingredients, the tantalising smells and the creativeness of concocting a dish using food you’ve never heard of before. Besides yoga, it’s the only way I can relax!
Hi! I’m Louise FitzRoy, a Walkley Award-winning journalist, founder of From Paddock to Plate (FP2P), food writer and educator, author, public speaker, local food and sustainability ambassador and proud country girl.
I love sourcing local fresh ingredients from growers to make delicious salads and that’s why I started FP2P more than eight years ago. My FP2P network includes a national food schools program, a food education app and the popular ‘From Paddock to Plate’ book of recipes and homegrown stories.
Join me on this ‘from paddock to plate’ journey to reveal the latest trends, news and information about fresh produce as I interview some of the country’s finest cooks and most passionate growers and reveal old traditional recipes passed down through the generations using popular, unusual and seasonal vegetables.
Through FP2P I aim to embrace and drive change to make a difference in raising awareness of local food & fibre, increasing support for Australian farmers, encouraging healthy eating habits and inspiring careers in Agriculture using integrity and passion.
