I love food! So naturally, I enjoy playing around with different flavors and textures to create healthy meals that nourish both myself and my four year old daughter. With a vibrant, colorful meal on our plates, I feel like I am really taking care of myself and my family. Slowly transitioning from amateur cook to chef extraordinaire :)
I grew up in sunny South Florida eating salads of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber so that's where I started when I moved out of home. I moved to Australia to study about 8 years ago, which definitely was a big change to my usual foods. Once I moved up Newcastle way, I ended up working my day job next door to the beautiful Love My Salad people, who have definitely influenced my eating habits thanks to their love of all types of fruit and veggies.
Slowly, I am adding new favorites to my recipe book, and now I love trying different, and sometimes more complex, salads depending on my mood, the weather, and basically whatever we feel like.
Love my salad is a great link to connecting with like-minded people and I love the educational aspect that lets me learn about new foods, how to cook them, and what they pair with. Looking forward to contributing to this great community!
