We love vegetables and salads because it’s very important to be healthy and we all need to eat vegetables every day. It's fun to work with the products of Westland Peppers and make different salads with these products.
About Westland Peppers:
The motivation for Westland Peppers to join the Love My Salad initiative is because we are proud of the products that we grow and we are pleased to be able to share our story, suggestions and recipes with salad lovers with some of our products.
The company, P. Boekestijn & Zn. / Westland Peppers is a family business that was started in 1930 by Mr Hendrik Boekestijn. He started growing crops specialising in grapes, peaches, leeks and cauliflower. Hendrik Boekestijn was succeeced by his son Piet Boekestijn. Meanwhile, the three sons of Piet Boekestijn: Henk, Dolf and Pieter (junior) increased the range of crops to include a wide assortment of chillies and specialty sweet peppers (capsicums).
Westland Peppers today grow a range of different chillies and sweet pepper including a special sweet pepper, which they call by the name, TASTYPEP. This type is perfect for snacking because it is seedless and the taste is very sweet.
We can use all the products of Westland Peppers for making salads. It's possible with the ''sweet'' products and with the ''hot'' products! From simple recipes to large recipes.
