I love salad, and vegetables of all types (well, maybe not onions....) not only because vegetables are a part of my daily life and they are healthy but also because of the variety - the colours, the textures, the tastes, the combinations. I really enjoy the surprising bite of a mustard leaf, the crunch of a roasted sunflower seed, the colours of babyleaf lettuce. Love my Salad sums it all up for me!
I live in a country where red meat is treated as a staple food. In fact some of my countrymen consider chicken to be a vegetable! I travel a lot in my job with a seed company, and spend far too much time eating out at restaurants that belong to steakhouse chains. Eating a salad as often as possible is essential to keep the cholesterol at bay.
