Almost everyone likes strawberries. That is why this popular soft fruit is also called "Summer King" in the Netherlands. They have a wonderfully sweet flavor and can be combined with other soft fruits, such as blackberries and raspberries. The strawberry is an accessory fruit. The small fleshy seeds on the surface are the actual fruits.

How to prepare

Strawberries do not have to be washed. If you do wash them, proceed carefully and only use a little of water. Do not keep them under flowing water, as that will harm them. The crown should only be removed afterwards.
