My favourite salad ingredient
My favourite salad ingredient is Lebanese cucumbers, especially in summer. My 3 year old daughter, ‘Ilia’, recently discovered baby cucumbers ‘Qukes’ and we snack on them together. It’s a lot of fun.
Looking after our customers
Many of our customers visit us daily or every second day. Sometimes they come in for a juice, yoghurt, salad, or cold meats to take with them on the way to one of the many beautiful alcoves along the harbour. Most of our customers are health conscious and take pride in their appearance. If you eat salads you’re going to be healthier. We help our customers look after themselves by making 15 seasonal fresh salads daily and we change the salad menu every three months.
We offer a diverse range of salad and vegetable ingredients, specialty groceries sourced from boutique family owned and operated suppliers as well as the major recognised brands, an extensive delicatessen, different types of breads, a gluten-free range, ready-made meals prepared daily by our resident qualified Chef using our raw fresh ingredients, confectionary, and a cafe for you to enjoy everything we create.
For events, our customers can pre-order their fresh salads, vegetable platters, and finger food from us.

Peter Morelli’s story
As soon as I turned 11, I joined my father working part-time at a local fruit shop. It was fun going to work with Dad and the fruit shops were totally different, purely focusing on fruit and vegetables. It was a nice family environment where everyone stopped work to have lunch and afternoon tea together. Thirty years later, I’m still going to the fruit shop with a broader offering.
