My family loves the taste and textures of fresh salads. In addition to the farm, we have our backyard veggie patch. The family all contribute to making salads, from seed to the plate.
From Chef to Grower
I always wanted to own a restaurant when I was younger and was lucky enough to do this at such a young age. I’d help Dad on the farm during the day then Dad would help me in the Restaurant at night. I increasingly became aware of how much I enjoyed the farm. Even though I enjoyed being a Chef, I realised that my passion was on the farm and returning to the farm in 2001 to work with my parents, Paul and Mary, was a natural progression. I enjoy having the freedom to be innovative and growing lettuce in a more sustainable way. The lifestyle really appeals to me, especially now with a young family of my own.
We love Symphony LettuceTM
Our latest Greenfield expansion was with Fresh Select. We built a high-tech, fully controlled glasshouse and designed an internal growing system to produce Symphony LettuceTM. The Symphony LettuceTM Bouquet makes it easy for anyone to put a full fluffy colourful salad together in an instant. Keep an eye out for it next time you’re out.
