In Harmelerwaard, 3 passionate brothers run a splendid family firm. Marcel, John and Steef de Groot took over the business from their father in 1987 and now grow tomatoes in greenhouses which cover no fewer than 15 hectares. Their sweet vine tomatoes, which the brothers say are nicest when eaten raw with meat and new potatoes, are best stored on the vine on a flat plate.
