This salad was given to me by Joop, a great friend from Holland. He says its a typical Dutch family garden salad shared especially in summer and goes well with a BBQ and a beer.

Preparation

As a fresh garden salad we like to keep it fresh and simple. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves and chop them into bite sized pieces. Lightly toss the leaves with the balsamic vinegar and sea salt just before serving (They dont use any olive oil with this but you can use a little says Joop). Finish with a good sprinkle of home made croutons and top with the roasted sesame and sunflower seeds.
