After one bite of the Sweet Palermo, consumers are hooked. The explanation lies in the science-based ‘brix values’ (numbers expressing the natural sugar content of a foodstuff). The Sweet Palermo achieves a brix of 9 (the sweetest regular blocky pepper has a maximum brix of 7) but with less than 40KCal per fruit. Combined with its rich aroma of fruits and fresh herbs, the Sweet Palermo scores highly in taste tests and contests. In 2012 the Sweet Palermo was chosen both by experts and the public as the ‘Best Dutch Pepper’!
Recently the Sweet Palermo range has been extended by a yellow version. The yellow Sweet Palermo is as sweet as you would expect from Sweet Palermo and has the same characteristics as the red version.
