The twelve months of Christmas

Christmas arrived early this year. It started on the very first days of this new year when I was talking to my partner, about all the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ for next  Christmas, learning from our recent experience. It continued in the early days of spring, somewhere in March and April, when it was actually still cold outside. When I had my first meeting about a new season of my cooking show on tv. Just a little later, summer should shortly arrive but it was still cold and wet, I talked about the Christmas features in magazines. On somewhat the hottest days of the year, we had the magazine shoots, as I was cooking my ‘tush’ off, preparing multiple Christmas dinners. And just this week, I finished off the super-sized Christmas episode of my television show. Just in time to put up the Christmas tree.

Santa Claus arrived early as well this year. I secretly suspect him to have never left, as Christmas gifts turned up all over the place. First my own product line. A gift from me to you. Wonderful dips, sauces, marmalades and more, full of flavour but free of 24 allergens. Happy little jars that should make you feel good. All 504 jars from the first batches were sold out within three days. How’s that for a gift?

The Christmas story continued as products entered contests and reached finals. With a second national place as a wonderful result and most splendid gift. And meanwhile, I continued sharing recipes full of flavor and inspiration right here on Love My Salad. What a bliss! Of course there’s my new tv show, a gift by itself, but filled with culinary treasures, each one a very special gift from people with pure passion. And in my latest book I write about some of nature’s most beautiful gifts: herbs and spices.

But my very best gift this year, is without a doubt: you! It’s your enthusiasm for my blogs, recipes and products. Your wonderful comments and likes. You inspire me to create new delicious recipes to lighten up your day and brighten up your plate! You better watch out and I’ll tell you why: I’ll be back next year with many more wonderful recipes. Seriously, I’m making a list at this very moment ;-)

Thank you for your support this year. You make it feel like Christmas, every day. I wish you a wonderful and magical Christmas and all the best for an inspiring new year!
