I have a dream that everyone can enjoy good food

This month is quite a special month in my country. One in which history is made. The queen of The Netherlands will step down from her throne and a new king will be crowned. A historical moment, for sure. All month long there won’t be talk of much else and everything turns orange (the color of the Royal House), including foods.

To inspire the new king, one can share ones dreams on a special website. A wonderful initiative, even though, besides the constant wishes for world peace, safety and carefree living (this preferably concerning money), I haven’t yet read a remarkable dream.

I too, have a dream. My dream (inspired by my little boy) is that everyone can enjoy good food. Sounds simple? Actually, it is not always that simple. For people who live with food hypersensitivities (safely) enjoying good food can be quite a challenge.  And just that is what I strive to make possible. Of course you can rely on someone else to make your dreams come true, but doesn’t fulfilling dreams really start with yourself? That is why every month (since the beginning of this year) you’ll find an inspiring recipe to enjoy, free of the 14 most common food allergens.

Just the other day, someone asked me whether it’s  a challenge to keep thinking of new salad recipes. On the contrary! If there’s anything that requires an unlimited imagination, it’s salad. Just the perfect dish to think out of the box. After having enjoyed big plates of salads and pick-nick style salad jars up until now, this month I’ll surprise you with a salad recipe in yet another unique form. One of which you can make endless varieties, of course. Get creative and meanwhile I’ll dream of salads for next month!
