Belgium is a real lettuce country and salads are an important part of our food culture.

We grow lettuce in open field, but  also in so-called hydroponic guttersystems. The small lettuce plants grow on blocks of compressed soil which are standing on gutters. Water with fertilisers flows through these gutters. The lettuce can be harvested with the soilblocks, keeping it alive and fresh!

All water which is used can be re-used and the plants get exactly what it needs. No water or fertiliser will be spilled, saving the environment. Our plants grow on gutters above the soil,  keeping the lettuce clean and with less weads or funghis.
