Introduction

This is a one for the kids to make by themselves. Just load the pita bread with crispy vegetables and fillings in a nice fresh dressing.

Ingredients

4 pita breads
Filling of your choice, such as strips of cheese, ham or chicken
Vegetables of your choice: try grated carrot, sliced cucumber, tomato, capscium, lettuce

Dressing Ingredients

3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
2 tablespoons of mayonaise
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
fresh herbs of your choice such as parsley, chives, basil
a little salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Prepare all your vegetables, meat and or cheese fillings and put on a large plate.
  • Make the dressing by combining the various ingredients and place in a serving bowl.
  • Toast the pita bread in the toaster or under the grill.
  • Cut along one side of the pita bread to open it like an envelope
  • Load up your pita bread  feast with your filling.
  • Place a nice spoonful of your yogurt dressing over the filling and enjoy!
