Japanese spinach salad with sesame seeds and ginger

From the land of the rising sun.

Ingredients

300 g washed spinach
5 pieces stem ginger
1 bunch radishes
1 sheet nori

Dressing Ingredients

3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp (rice) vinegar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp ginger syrup
2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

Preparation

Put the spinach in a large bowl.
Cut the ginger into cubes.
Clean the radishes and cut them into very thin strips (julienne).
With a pair of scissors cut the sheet of nori into strips.
Whisk the oil, sesame oil, vinegar, soy sauce and ginger syrup together to make a dresssing.
Add the radish strips, cubes of ginger and sesame seeds to the spinach and mix well.
Add the dressing.
Garnish the salad with the strips of nori.

Additional Information

Serving tip:
Wrap a few strips of nori around radish segments and add them to the salad.

Salad serves 4 as a side or starter.
